Stickies.NET.Resurrection

Recently, there has been renewed interest in Stickies .NET. Shunjie from SGDOTNET has stumbled upon the application and he seemed to like it very much. He has suggested a list of enhancements to me but due to my commitments to work, studies and most importantly, Paladin, I don't have much spare time left to work on it.

Therefore, I have decided to submit the project to SGDOTNET for them to manage it. Now, they are planning to rebuild Stickies .NET on .NET 2.0 using Visual Studio 2005. You can read more about the initiative here. The new product will be named Stickies .NET 2005 and Shunjie will take the role of Project Leader and Darren will be helping out as well. I guessed I will still be able to drive the project from behind by giving comments, requirements and testing the product.

It's hard to imagine. I could still remember that when I first started the project more than two years ago, I was simply looking for an avenue for me to practice what I learned in C# and .NET. I grew it from a simple personal application to something that the public can use. I never imagined that the product will last until today and will be ported over to .NET 2.0. I still use Stickies .NET everyday, both at work and at home as that was the primary reason I wrote it - to help me keep my notes.

I tried to do some prototyping on Visual Studio 2005 and everything seemed to be easier now as compared to last time. Anyway, I hope the Stickies .NET 2005 project will help those who are involved to learn more about .NET - like how I learned from the previous projects. Good luck guys! Do make me proud! *HuGs*
