Today marks the beginning of a new wave! Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 have been released to MSDN Subscribers Download. So if you are a MSDN subscriber, go get them right away.
Generally, if you only see Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition and not one of the Team Editions (i.e. Architect, Developer or Tester), you are still under the MSDN Universal subscription and have not transitioned into the new roles. You will need to decide which role best suits you and then do the transition. Read Transition Plan for MSDN Subscribers. You can also opt to upgrade at a cost to the Team Suite edition that contains everything.
Unfortunately for me, I have not managed to get my copy of Visual Studio 2005 Team System today. *Sob* *Sob*. It's quite difficult to contain my excitement for it. Guessed I have to wait till Monday. :(
