Another.One.Another.One

I'll be sitting for my Advanced Systems Analysis and Design (ASAD) paper tomorrow. *Gulp* *Kinda nervous now with lotsa butterflies in my stomach. Ooo... my palms are sweating* By clearing that paper, I will be another step closer to my degree. I feel so pai-seh. All my classmates have graduated already but I'm still studying *Eee... so shy*.

This unit really helped me refresh some of the stuff I learned during my SA/SD course during my diploma err... approximately 10 years back. *I know I know - Auntie liow* However, back then, I was in the Structured Analysis and Design era - you know those Data-Flow Diagrams (DFD), Structured Charts and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) stuff. But now, I'm re-introduced into the SA/SD world with Object-oriented Analysis and Design. *Sigh! I'm really old liow*

Besides all that Use Case and UML stuff, I also get to read about Rapid Application Development (RAD), Prototyping, Spiral Development, eXtreme Programming (XP) and the Unified Process (UP). *Why no MSF wan?* Most of the materials are quite academic but they serve as good references to reinforce my current knowledge. While reading, my mind kept thinking about those CMM processes in my company *Hehe*.

I was disappointed that there weren't a lot of UML diagramming but nevermind, I should be able to pick those up from a Dummies book. The introductory material to project management was also interesting as we get to learn about defining the scope and evaluating project feasibility but for more information, we will need to further read up on the PMI resources i.e PMBOK.

Okie. I better get back to my studies now. Hopefully, I can write as much as I blog. *HeHe*
