I was trying to configure an x64 Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 Beta 1 image and I have encountered a weird error when I tried to extend the default web site using the stsadm command. The error I got was "Value does not fall within the expected range".
After searching around, I discovered that it is due to the IIS web site's DefaultAppPool setting. Just set the Identity to NetworkService and everything should work fine.
