Flightplan

Just came back from watching Flightplan. Thought I would have missed it from the cinemas but luckily they were still showing it. A very good movie. *Thumbs up*

Jodie Foster plays Kyle Pratt, a widow who already burdened with the loss of her husband and now her six year-old daughter, Julia, is missing at 40,00 feet on a start-of-the-art commercial airplane that she helped designed. It is like every mother's nightmare. What's worst is no one recalled seeing her with her daughter. Armed with the knowledge of the aircraft's design, she searches through every inch of the airplane for her missing daughter.

The movie has a very interesting story that keeps you guessing and thinking most of the time. I am quite sure that if you watch the movie, you will at some point in time think that she is insane. Afterall, she is acting very paranoid - who wouldn't if they find their children missing?

There were several plots being introduced in the movie and all seemed possible. And like most movies today, it ends with an interesting twisted-ending (although not much action).

Somehow, I find that this movie is better than Red Eye - another aircraft thriller. While Red Eye unfolds the plot immediately after boarding the plane, Flightplan keeps you guessing by slowly inducing the details. Overall, I give this movie 5 stars.
